Living Fully in the Body God Gave You

A Christian approach to food, fitness, sleep, stress, aging, and caring for our health without turning the body into either an idol or an afterthought. Men often ignore their health until the warning lights begin flashing. This session could help men view physical health as stewardship rather than vanity. It could address sustainable habits, stress, declining strength, preventable illness, and staying physically able to serve our families, churches, and neighbors through every chapter of life.

Defending the Full Life - Christian Apologetics for Ordinary Men

How do you respond to your skeptical neighbor or atheist friend? Do you have to be an expert in philosophy and culture? The answer is no. In this session we will explore the basics of apologetics, that is, how to defend the faith with winsomeness and love.

Living Fully in a Society with Gender Issues

As you look out at the world today, basic truths such as men being men and women being women are no longer taken for granted. There is a battle over the unique identity God has given us. When it comes to our identity, who gets to establish what is true? God, of course! But how do we equip ourselves to respond with both truth and love to the people around us who struggle with their God-given gender? This presentation will give us some tools to equip us for these sensitive situations.

Recognize the need for a men’s group, learn how to market it, and how to establish and run it.

Session VIII

Living Fully in the Unseen Battle

Our spiritual battles are real, active, and dangerous. Satan and his demons are nagging pests who want to destroy us spiritually, mentally, and physically. This session will help men separate Biblical truth from superstition, understand that the spiritual realm is much more active than our modern minds like to accept, and face the unseen battles with confidence in Christ rather than fear.

Living Fully When God Doesn’t Fix It

Is there something in your past God won't fix? How devastating is your brokenness? Have you been able to talk about it, learn from it and help others as a result of it? Mark Jacobson is the second of four children born to Ray and Lois Jacobson in Milwaukee, WI. Mark was an 18-year-old freshman at Martin Luther College in 1995 when his 20-year-old brother, Andrew, was tragically killed in a work-related accident. Session participants will hear about the people and the passages God used to help Pastor Jacobson live through this tragedy. There will also be time for willing participants to share their God-doesn't-fix-it story and how God has helped them live through their tragedy.
