Forge Ahead in Faith
January 18, 2025 Keynote Speaker, Pastor Jon Buchholz will lead us in a presentation title: Where Do We Go From Here? What do you anticipate coming in the future — for our nation, for the WELS, for your congregation? Martin Luther observed, "A Christian is an optimist." Confident in God's grace we forge forward with faith in God's promises, and we look forward to wonderful blessings from God's hand of mercy. We'll talk honestly about real challenges we face today, always in the light of the confidence we have in Jesus and his promises to bless his Church. Desert Willow Conference Center

In a world shaken by division, uncertainty, and fear, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. The economy teeters, political tensions rise, and it seems like the fabric of society is unraveling. Conversations have turned into battlegrounds where differences aren’t met with understanding but with cold dismissal. It’s a daunting time to be a man of faith. Yet, as Men of His Word, we are not called to shrink back in fear. We’re called to forge ahead.
Philippians 3:14 reminds us to press on toward the goal — to pursue the prize of God’s heavenly calling. No matter what storms may rage around us, we can stand firm, not because of our own strength but because of Christ’s. He equips us to move forward, not just surviving the chaos but thriving through it, with our eyes fixed on His promises. This year’s Men of His Word Conference will reignite your faith, filling you with the courage and conviction to forge ahead, even in the face of adversity or persecution. Through powerful teaching, uplifting fellowship, and engaging discussions, we’ll explore what it means to live boldly in uncertain times. Together, we’ll enjoy reconnecting with one another, strengthening our bonds, and encouraging each other as we chart a course that doesn’t rely on the shifting sands of the world but on the unshakable foundation of God’s Word. Join us as we Forge Ahead in Faith, confident in the One who calls us onward, no matter what lies ahead. |
