Keynote: "Leading Men being Led by the Spirit" by Pastor Aaron Robinson
What comes to mind when someone says they are Spirit-led? Your answer will likely depend on your experience and what you’ve been taught. For some, it will conjure up images of some highly emotional experience. Others might imagine a quiet prayer warrior or someone with a servant’s heart. If it’s true that “as many as are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God,” then it should be an important question for all of us to consider.
Scripture teaches that every true believer has the Spirit of God (Rom. 8:9), but it is possible to walk after the flesh instead of walking after the Spirit (Gal. 5). So, how can we know if we are being led by the Spirit?
1. “Tell Them to go to H*ll” by Pastor James Aderman
Why does a Man of His Word need to be informed about poltergeists, hauntings, and demonic possessions? Because they are real. Demons are just as active today as they were in Bible times. Pastor Jim Aderman has counseled or co-counseled on over 200 cases of demonization. In this presentation, Pastor Aderman will not only describe how demons operate today, he will also arm you with God's defensive and offensive weapons that destroy the plans and strongholds of demons.
2."Building Christ Empowered Dad’s” by Ryan Halter
The world today cares very little for the input of fathers in the lives of their children or in the function of the family. A father in the 21st century is supposed to resemble a Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin: a laughable, buffoonish, incompetent, unreliable, good-time Charlie who is emotionally distant. There are many forces in the world that are doing everything they can to eject men from the family. What's scary is many men could care less to return to the responsibility God's Word promises will fulfill their lives. Ryan Halter will lead this breakout session as we look into God's Word to see what Jesus' blueprints are for building a man of exceptional character and discover just how important Fathers are for the growth of their children, their families, their communities, and ultimately the purpose filled life Christ wants us all to lead.
3. "Three Guys All In for Jesus!" by Jakob Ulman, Isaiah Ulman and Payton Dahlke
Explore God's journey for three young men who initiated a bible study to reach men in their 20's. There's a great need for the younger generation of men to step up and pursue God with all their heart, soul, and mind. An incredible way to build that desire for God is with mutual encouragement in our spiritual walks. Learn about how God created a community of young men that are fired up for Him and some tips and tricks they learned along the way.
4. "Send Us Your Nones" by Bill Neubauer, Scott Krause and Blain Parsons
Sadly, a growing percentage of our society identifies their religious affiliation as "none"- or "nun". Learn how 3 average laymen from Watertown have built a successful ministry to reach this group and how their original plan is far different from what has developed. We'll review some history of our community outreach, current ministerial concept to implementation, and all of the trials and tribulations in between. A breakdown of a weekly 3-hour session will be reviewed. You'll learn how easily you can start a ministry too!
5. "Men need to Be Dangerous for Jesus" by Ron Kelly
Pastoral assistant Ron Kelly leads a discussion on how to be a courageous Christian man lives in a radical way for Christ.
6. "The Rules of Brotherhood" by Kevin Festerling
Join us in a discussion where we explore the Rules of Brotherhood, as we take a deep look into the lives of our Old Testament heroes: Jonathan and David. We will identify the power of a brotherhood in Christ, where we seek God's pathway for us to live out radical brotherhood, exemplified by sacrifice, honor and faithfulness.
7. "The Secrets Men Keep" by Chris Lampe
We often conceal sinful habits and struggles that weigh heavy on our souls. However, as Men of His Word, we are not alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us that “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.”Furthermore, James 5:16 encourages us to confess our sins and pray for each other. Come and be encouraged to leave yoursecrets at the foot of the cross, confide and lean on your Brothers in Christ, and to pick each other up when we fall.
8. “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” by Mike Hallmann
Scripture says that nothing can separate us from the love of God. However, sometimes we put up barriers on our end. Have we hardened our hearts to God‘s Love for us? Have the issues of life blinded us? Are we asking God to give us more faith for the answer to our problems, but the answer keeps eluding us? Mike is going to share how God’s Word assures us that there’s nothing we can do to separate us from the radical love of God.
9. "Each of Us is Called and Empowered" by Brian Lampe
Our communities are filled with broken, hurting people who could benefit from the healing message of the gospel of Jesus. God calls each of us to lead so that we can be His hands, feet, and voice in the world. We are Christ’s ambassadors and are empowered by God’s Holy Spirit. Let’s tap into His Word and be encouraged to answer His call for leadership in our many God-given opportunities.
10. "Finding your Purpose" by Pastor Ben Sadler
Humans are motivated by purpose. We need to know that our lives have meaning, or we will give up. But how do you find your purpose and calling? And how do you take steps to live it out? How can you live a meaningful life? In this session, Pastor Ben Sadler will explain the importance of identifying your calling and believing your life has meaning and purpose.
11. "Being the Family Shepherd the Holy Spirit Calls You to Be" by Mike Tracy
Mike will look at the Bible’s call for men to be family shepherds in 2024. He shares his experience and leads a discussion on creative and powerful ways men can show Christ to their families.
12. "Marriage: Mystery, Misery, Mishaps, Ministry!" by Pastor Dr. Paul Steinberg
Paul will lead a panel discussion of married couples from different generations who will share how they have worked to show Christ to each other. Participants will leave with appreciation of the blessing of marriage and a few practical ways to grow in Christ in their present or future marriage.
