Through the generosity of the Men of His Word, Restoring the Word has been able to provide $1,000 to purchase Bibles in support of WELS Prison Ministry.
Over the past 20 years WELS Prison Ministry has shared Jesus with more than 68,000 inmates. In the last two years nearly 2900 new contacts have used WELS Prison Ministry resources in over 130 new locations. God continues to bless this important ministry and Men of His Word has had the privilege of providing support for it. |
More Than All We Asked or ImaginedMost of us are lamenting the isolation of this COVID pandemic. We are complaining about the lack of personal interaction and wondering how we can reach souls for Christ if we can’t meet people face to face.
Not to worry, God tells us. He can even use isolation to reach souls! The Commission on Special Ministries is witnessing an example of this divine creativity. Because COVID has resulted in prison lockdowns and prohibition of visitors, prison authorities have requested 36,000 do-it-yourself Bible studies from us – 36,000! We rejoice over God giving us more than we can ask or imagine in getting the Word to inmates, but we don’t have the resources to fill these requests. That’s where you come in.
